Welcome to Heat 1 of VaanAshe’s Fantasy Gladiators!

Our four contestants are Paul and Jack for the boys, and Jessica and Natalie for the girls!

EVENT 1…DANGER ZONE!

And first up, it’s Jessica! And she’s going to be facing Needle!

Jessica
runs towards the first safe zone and the air powered rocket launcher,
avoiding the barrage of balls from Needle, she misses, and runs over to
the air-powered ball cannon, narrowly missing the target, before
darting towards the third weapon – the special FX pistol – she’s misses
by far, before running over and narrowly avoiding a well-aimed shot
from Needle. She just misses with the two hand grenades, before Needle
catches her on the shoulder!

And next up to face Needle, it’s Natalie!

Natalie
is almost hit by a tennis ball straight away, but just manages to
sprint past to the air powered rocket launcher, and just misses the
target, before she dashes to the air-powered ball cannon, this time
going slightly wide, but then, just before getting to the third safe
zone, Needle manages to strike, catching her on the shoulder!

So after one event, Jessica and Natalie remain at zero!

Next up, it’s the boys turn! First up, it’s Paul, and he’s going to be facing Venom!

Paul
darts towards the first safe zone, but is hit almost as soon as it
begins! Some nice firing by Venom there! Venom looks happy; having got
his opponent out so fast, the whistle had hardly even gone!

And next up, it’s Jack!

Jack
darts forward, Venom firing where Jack had just been. Jack narrowly
misses the target with the air powered rocket launcher, and he’s
already darting for the air-powered ball cannon, he takes aim, fires,
and misses! He darts towards the direction of the third safe zone,
grabs the special FX pistol, and gets hit by Venom just as he’s about
to fire! Venom, again, taking his opponent out before the game even
begun! Jack walks off, looking incredibly disappointed with the game.
Venom, meanwhile, looks as happy as happy can be!

After one event, the boys’ scores remain unchanged!

EVENT 2…DUEL!

Our first contender is Jessica! And she’s up against Electric!

The
match begins, with Electric scoring the first hit, barely knocking
Jessica at all! Jessica then pulls her pugil stick around, knocking
Electric straight off the platform and into the water. Jessica stands
victorious, while Electric clambers out of the water and gets herself
back on the platform, ready to face Natalie. Jessica, meanwhile, jumps
into the water, pleased with her 10 Points!

Next up, it’s Natalie! And she’s up against Emerald!

Natalie
launches the first blow, while Emerald blocks and follows through with
a strike, which Natalie receives straight to the face, but quickly
recovers in time to block another strike from Emerald, which she blocks
and throws her own straight at Emerald! The girls continue throwing
blows at each other until the thirty seconds runs out! Emerald shakes
Natalie’s hand.

And after two events, the scores are ten for Jessica, and five for Natalie!

On to the men’s events! First up, it’s Paul, and he’s up against Taurus!

Taurus
opens straight away, knocking Paul straight off and into the water in
only a few seconds! Paul gets out of the water, fully disgusted in his
performance so far…Taurus, meanwhile, enjoys himself while the crowd
chant “Another One Bites the Dust”! Taurus jumps into the water, wading
to the side, ready to see how his fellow Gladiator does against Jack…

Next up, it’s Jack! And he’s going to be facing Explosion!

Jack
pulls out the first blow, striking Explosion, but not even moving the
big guy, who throws his own blow, knocking Jack off balance and almost
into the water. Jack recovers and throws a blow and the face, which
Explosion blocks, before receiving another. The action continues until
the clock has only a few seconds left, and Explosion lands a blow which
pushes Jack into the water!

So after two events, Paul and Jack have yet to earn any points!

EVENT 3…POWERBALL!

It’s Jessica and Natalie! And they’re going to be facing Needle, Flame and Emerald!

And
they’re off! Needle and Emerald making quick work of Jessica, while
Flame does her best to keep up with Natalie! Jessica fails to break
through the two girls, and Emerald easily manages to take Natalie out
while handling Jessica as well! While Emerald goes back to Jessica,
Natalie manages to break past Flame though, and manages to score in two
points!

So, after three rounds, Jessica has 10 points, while Natalie is stuck at 7 Points!

Next up, it’s Paul and Jack! And they’ll be facing Venom, Taurus and Swift!

Venom
manages to stop Paul in his tracks, while Taurus makes quick work of
Jack. Whenever either boy manages to break through, Swift is quickly on
to them to make sure they don’t score anything. Thirty seconds gone,
and Jack manages to pull into the centre, and just misses with his ball
as Swift comes flying on top of him. So, the game ends with neither
scoring!

After three rounds, the boys scores are both still at 0!

EVENT 4…HUMAN CANNONBALL!

First up, it’s Jessica! And she’ll be swinging at Needle, Electric and Flame!

Jessica
is the lighter contender of the two, being only two kilograms heavier
than Electric! And it shows when she swings, as she knocks only
Electric off, failing to knock either Needle and Flame off into the
water. Electric seems to be spending a lot of time in the water today,
having come out quite quickly on the Duel event as well! She swims out,
thoroughly disappointed!

Next up, Natalie’s up against Needle, Flame and Emerald!

The
heavier contender, Natalie is able to knock Flame off and into the
water, but doesn’t manage to knock either Needle or Emerald. Flame
seems at home in the water, showing off some of her swimming skills
before getting out of the water. Natalie doesn’t seem happy with her
score in this event though, because it’ll mine Jessica gets a head
start at the Eliminator!

The final scores for the girls are 13 points for Jessica and 10 points for Natalie!

First up for the boys is Paul, and he’ll be facing Venom, Swift and Explosion!

Paul
is the heavier of the two males, but only be a few kilos! He manages to
take Swift off the platform, but doesn’t do as well against Venom or
Explosion, netting himself only three points in the event. He walks
off, fairly disappointed with his score, but happy to have at least
scored some points in the event. It’ll mean that he’ll at least get off
the zero mark!

Jack is up against Taurus, Swift and Explosion!
Jack will have the harder time, being lighter than all the male
Gladiators and Paul…and he fails to knock even Swift off, scoring
himself nothing, and also taking a diving into the water for failing on
all three occasions. Explosion can’t help but laugh, as Jack wades out
of the pool and off to get ready for the Eliminator…

THE ELIMINATOR!

Jessica
has a 1.5 second head start, being three points ahead…The girls seem to
be doing well, Natalie catching Jessica up on the balance beam when
Jessica gets knocked off and has to start again, and then Jessica
struggles to get up the cargo net, but Natalie doesn’t make it over the
wall, giving Jessica the time to catch up. Jessica then gets caught by
Needle coming through the barrier, giving Natalie chance to catch up;
Natalie again catches up when Jessica gets stuck on the second cargo
net. Natalie is first down the zip line, and manages to get first up on
the travelator, and Natalie is first through the paper barrier, meaning
that Natalie has won the event. Jessica runs up the travelator and
crashes through the barrier 2 seconds after – almost the same time she
had over Natalie to begin with!

Paul, just from the last event,
has the 1.5 second head start. The pair set off, Jack managing to catch
up with Flame knocks Paul off at the balance beam…but then Jack falls
behind on the cargo net as Paul quickly gets up. Jack goes flying over
the wall, and seems to miss the crash mat situated just over. Paul
continues on, crashing through the paper barrier, while Jack appears
not to be continuing. Paul, meanwhile, easily gets up the next cargo
net, down the zip line and reaches the travelator, where he figures out
that something must be wrong. He continues up the travelator, crashing
through the paper barrier to victory. Meanwhile, Jack appears to have
taken out, having a nasty fall from his swing over the wall. This means
that Paul will be going with Natalie into the next rounds, so we’ll see
them at the semi finals!

Welcome to Heat 2!

Tonight, our four contenders are Callum and Ashley, and Jade and Hayley!

EVENT 1…BREAKTHROUGH & CONQUER!

And first up, it’s Jade! And she’s going to be facing the force of Electric, and Emerald!

First up, Jade runs forward to catch Electric, but Electric quickly catches her and pulls her to the floor! Zero points for Jade! Next up, Jade moves on to the conquer section, and her ten seconds begins! She’s pushing at Emerald with all her might, and eventually manages to push Emerald over and slightly out of the ring, scoring herself three points overall!

And next up to face the Gladiators, it’s Hayley! And she’s going to facing Flame, and Needle!

First up, Hayley runs straight past Flame, easily getting past the swimmer, who looks might disappointed! Next up is Needle in the Conquer ring! And Hayley’s pushing with all her might! And the ten seconds runs out! Needle smiles and shakes Hayley’s hands, with Hayley scoring three points, bringing the girls to three points each after the first event.

First up for the boys, it’s Callum! And he’s going to be facing the brute force of Explosion, and Swift!

Callum runs straight forward into Explosion, who easily pushes Callum to the floor. And the whistle blows! Explosion is given the yellow card – you’re meant to tackle, not push the contender! Callum runs clear to the conquer zone, where he faces Swift! Certainly not best in conquer, Callum easily manages to push Swift straight out of the circle! Giving Callum ten points!

Finally, it’s Ashley! And he’s going to be facing the power of Taurus and Venom!

Ashley runs ahead, and manages to push Taurus straight out of the way into the conquer ring to face Venom! There’s a lot of pushing and shoving, but neither Gladiator nor Contender can get the other out of the ring! The whistle blows, and Ashley scores three points, bringing him below Callum’s ten points after the first event. So, onto the second event…

EVENT 2…DUEL!

And first up with the pugil stick, its Jade! And she’s going to be facing the might of Flame!

It’s Flame’s debut on Duel, and she’s certainly not letting Jade get the better of her! The whistle blows and Flame lands the first blow, knocking Jade straight off balance! Flame then strikes her second blow, knocking Jade straight into the water. Flame raises her pugil, noting the first female victory on Duel, and then dismounts back to dry land, ready for the second match!

Taking on Duel next, it’s Hayley! And she’s going to be facing Needle!

The crowd roars their happiness that Needle’s taking the stage – obviously a fan favourite! Hayley looks worried…and the whistle goes! Needle strikes out at Hayley, knocking her off balance, but Hayley manages to regain her balance just as she gets a second strike from Needle! She blocks, and continues to block all of Needle’s strikes till the whistle goes, pulling her ahead of Jade with a total of 8 Points!

First up for the men, it’s Callum! And he’s going to be facing Explosion!

Explosion’s ready to get revenge for Breakthrough & Conquer, and as the whistle goes, he smashes Callum straight off the podium! Callum shrugs it off – his light weight doesn’t help him much in the Duel arena. Explosion, meanwhile, seems to be enjoying his victory over Callum – cannon balling straight into the water and pushing Callum back under!

Hoping for some better luck, it’s Ashley! And he’s facing Swift!

And the whistle goes! Ashley quickly lands a blow on Swift, almost knocking the Gladiator off balance; Swift goes to strike, and misses! Duel’s certainly not Swift’s event! Ashley strikes again, and Swift tumbles into the water – it’s certainly not one of Swift’s best days…Ashley stands victorious, and he should be! He’s now leading with thirteen points!

EVENT 3…DANGER ZONE!

Tonight on the Danger Zone, the girls will be facing Electric! First up, it’s Jade!

The whistle goes, and Jade darts for the first safe zone. She reaches it, and gets hit before she’s even got round to aiming! Electric looks mighty happy – it’s certainly the event she’s waited a heat for! Jade walks off – this was the event she was hoping to pick up points on, but I don’t think she really wanted to face up against Electric on it! So she’s stuck on three points.

Next up to face the terrifying Electric, it’s Hayley!

Hayley looks more worried about the event, and as soon as the whistle blows, she’s pretty much hit! She doesn’t even get anywhere! Electric does a back flip, showing her happy she is, then raises her thumbs up in congratulations for Hayley. Hayley walks off, still happy she’s in the lead, but sad that she’s not progressed from her eight points she’s picked up…

Facing the male contenders tonight, it’s Explosion! And trying to score past him, it’s Callum!

The whistle blows, and Callum darts for the first safe zone. Picking up the air powered rocket launcher…he hits the bull’s eye! Explosion looks annoyed – looks like he can’t score a second victory in revenge on Callum…It’s the first victory on Danger Zone! And Callum looks mighty pleased! The same, of course, can’t be said for Explosion…but we’re sure he’ll get over it!

Next up, it’s Ashley!

Explosion is ready to get revenge, and gets some close shots as Ashley darts from safe zone to safe zone, missing each time. He finally makes it to the fifth safe zone, and hides in it to try and stall out the match to a draw. The clock begins to tick, counting down the remainder of Ashley’s 60 seconds, while Explosion can’t get the shot in…and Ashley goes to victory!

EVENT 4…HUMAN CANNONBALL!

The final event of tonight, Jade’s going to be facing up against Needle, Electric and Emerald!

Jade manages to take Electric and Emerald off the podium, but Needle remains standing, amazed that she’s actually managed to survive the assault! Jade looks happy with her 6 Points, finally getting off her original score from Breakthrough and Conquer! She’s now got a total of 9 Points, putting her one point in the lead, but Hayley still has yet to go on Human Cannonball…

Hayley’s going to be facing Needle, Flame and Emerald on the Human Cannonball meanwhile!

Hayley, lighter than Jade by a few kilograms, has a harder time against her opponents, and fails to knock any of the three Gladiators off. It’s the first time the female Gladiators have won a whole round of Human Cannonball – and Needle’s record of wins is rising pretty quickly as well! Hayley’s stuck one point behind Jade, leaving not much head start for the latter in the Eliminator…

First up on Human Cannonball, it’s Callum! And he’s going to be facing Venom, Taurus and Explosion!

Callum’s got to face Explosion again! Being light, he fails to knock Taurus or Explosion off, but manages to score a lucky hit on Venom he ends in a nasty accident. Failing back into the water, Venom manages to knee himself in the face, before landing in the water head first! Ouch! He’s taken out of the arena by the medical team, and we’ll have to catch up with him in the near future as to what’s happened!

Ashley goes up next, and he’s facing the remaining three Gladiators – Taurus, Swift and Explosion!

Ashley manages to knock Taurus and Swift off, but fails when it comes to Explosion – leaving Explosion the male champion of Human Cannonball. The crowd, meanwhile, don’t like Explosion’s display of happiness – it’s obvious he’s not thinking about the last event where he didn’t do well at all! Meanwhile, it appears that Venom is unable to compete in the Eliminator…

THE ELIMINATOR…

Without Venom, the Gladiator team is down to 7, so the course is changing until the return of Venom. Instead of six medicine balls on the balance beam, there will be four medicine balls being swung.

Facing the girls tonight on the medicine balls are Needle, Flame, Taurus and Swift, while behind the paper barriers are Electric and Emerald! Jade will have a 0.5 second head start on Hayley…

Jade quickly pushes the ball up the hill, while Hayley has a little trouble. On to the balance beam, where Jade quickly crosses. Hayley gets knocked off by some good aiming from Swift, and has to go back. Jade quickly climbs the cargo net and gets over the wall, while Hayley reaches the cargo net. Next up, Jade crashes through the barrier and knocks Electric out of the way, climbing the next cargo net while Hayley struggles to get past Emerald. Jade swoops down the zip line and then heads for the travelator, while Hayley just reaches the cargo net. Jade climbs the travelator, and falls! She tries again, but falls a second time as Hayley comes down the zip line. Third time lucky, but she falls again! Hayley’s almost at the travelator when Jade finally reaches the top and breaks through, Hayley just behind her.

Next up, on the medicine balls for the men are Electric, Flame, Emerald and Explosion, while behind the paper barriers are Taurus and Swift! Callum will have a 2 second head start.

Ashley catches up on the ramp, but Callum breaks ahead at the balance beam. Next up, the cargo net, and Ashley gets up faster and passes the wall, while Callum tumbles off the cargo net. Ashley breaks through the barrier and avoids the two Gladiators, climbing the next cargo net, before Callum collides with the wall – another ten second penalty. Ashley goes down the zip line while Callum breaks through the barrier into Taurus’ arms. Ashley heads for the travelator, and climbs it first time, breaking the barrier while Callum finally heads for the cargo net. He gets up easier this time, and heads straight down the zip line to the bottom. He goes for the travelator, and falls down. Could this be a repeat of Jade’s performance? He tries again, and manages it, swinging through the barrier to a second place.

Welcome to Heat 3!

Firstly, the news about Venom has come out as that Venom will hopefully be returning to us later on in the Heats after his accident in the previous heat. There is no major damage and he is alright!

Tonight, attempting to defeat the Gladiators, its Nathan and Ivor, and Louise and Rebecca!

EVENT 1…BREAKTHROUGH & CONQUER!

Firstly up, it’s Louise! And she’s going to be facing Electric and Emerald!

Louise runs straight, and Electric manages to easily catch her and bring her to the floor! No problems there! Next up, she heads forward to Emerald, who easily manages to push her out of the ring. Both Gladiators appear disappointed in Louise, who says that she’s attempting to save her energy for the Eliminator at the very end…Emerald walks off in a huff, with Electric wishing her good luck.

Next up, it’s Rebecca! And she’s going to be up against Needle and Flame!

Rebecca runs forward, able to keep herself just out of Needle’s reach, but gets caught at the very end and taken down. She then heads on to Flame, who literally pushes the girl straight out of the ring. The Gladiators aren’t too pleased with yet another easy victory, and Rebecca replies that she’s also saving her energy for the Eliminator, and says that the events are hard work.

First up for the boys, it’s Nathan! And he’s going to be taking on Explosion and Swift!

Nathan runs straight past Explosion – no trouble there! Running into the ring, he starts pushing Swift – and with little trouble manages to push him out the ring! It’s the first points of the evening, and the boys don’t look happy about it. Explosion appears to be running riot – despite the fact that he’s up next as well! Swift, meanwhile, congratulates his opponent and walks off.

Next up, it’s Ivor! And he’s going to be facing the power of Taurus, and Explosion!

Ivor runs forward, side stepping left and right to try and get around Taurus, and he eventually manages to pull ahead of Taurus and sprints ahead to enter the ring with Explosion…he literally pushes Ivor aside! Ivor is forced to live with his three points, which puts him at a disadvantage when compared to Nathan’s ten points from the first event.

EVENT 2…DANGER ZONE!

First up, it’s Louise! And she’s going to be taking on the magnificent Electric!

And the whistle blows, Louise dodges a ball from Electric and scrambles over to the first safe zone – she aims, and misses. She scrambles for the second safe zone, continuing to dodge the fire from Electric, and misses again! She repeats at the third safe zone. Finally, she runs for the fourth safe zone and misses once more. Taking shelter in the fifth safe zone…Electric clips her shoulder! The crowd is wild! Louise is out!

Next up to face Electric, it’s Rebecca!

The whistle goes and Rebecca gets hit! That’s the Electric we know on Danger Zone! The crowd goes wild! Electric takes the microphone, congratulating both Louise and Rebecca, and telling the crowd that Danger Zone is her favourite event, and no one has ever got in the practice as far as Louise did against her – not even one of the Gladiators against her!

First up for the boys is Nathan and he’ll be attempting to conquer Swift!

It’s Swift’s debut on Danger Zone, and Swift leaves no time in almost getting Nathan, and Nathan can’t even get at the first safe zone, due to Swift’s barrage of tennis balls! Nathan manages to get to the first safe zone, fires his weapon, then tries to sprint across the next two safe zones, but runs out of time crossing the third safe zone to the fourth safe zone, scoring nothing!

John Anderson confirms that you must reach the fifth safe zone, and then Ivor takes the stage!

He’s not even begun before a ball almost clips him. The whistle hasn’t blow however, and the ref warns Swift for being trigger happy. The whistle goes, and Swift catches Ivor below the waist. John Anderson halts the match, and gives Swift the yellow card, awarding Ivor 10 Points, pulling Ivor ahead of Nathan by a total of 3 points with his new 13 points!

EVENT 3…DUEL!

First up on Duel, its Louise! And she’ll be facing Flame!

Louise looks absolutely petrified against Flame, and as the whistle blows, she goes to strike Flame, but over swings and falls into the water. Flame stands victorious, and raises her pugil stick to prove this opponent. Louise gets out of the water, thoroughly disappointed in her loss, and heads off to get dry ready for her final chance of getting points.

Next up, it’s Rebecca! And tonight, she’ll be facing Emerald!

Emerald looks ready to prove herself – having forced her opponent to a draw last time on Duel. Rebecca, meanwhile, almost looks as scared as Louise when the whistle goes. A single blow from Emerald and Rebecca almost drops into the water – an easy opponent. Emerald stands victorious, throwing her pugil stick in the water and doing a short dance to the music before jumping in the water.

First up for the boys, it’s Nathan, and he’s going to be facing Explosion!

Explosion hasn’t lost either of his matches in Duel so far in the three heats – and he’s not about to lose his record! The whistle goes, and Nathan strikes Explosion straight across the face, knocking Explosion right off balance – to which Nathan throws a quick jab, and Explosion stands defeated! Or more falls defeated! Nathan stands victorious on the Duel platform!

Next up is Ivor, and he’s going to be facing Taurus!

Taurus towers over Ivor, who’s a similar size to Explosion. The whistle blows, and Ivor scores a good hit to Taurus’ legs, and then continues to follow up! Taurus goes to land and blow, but Ivor clips him round the legs and knocks the bigger man into the water. Taurus looks shocked, and congratulates Ivor once he’s out of the water – saying that this is one of his few loses on Duel.

EVENT 4…POWERBALL!

Guarding the girl’s baskets, it’s Electric, Flame and Emerald!

It’s Electric’s first time on Powerball, and the girls set off, Electric taking out Louise, while Emerald takes out Rebecca, with Flame taking out whichever seems needed. And the team works well! Neither girl is able to get through, with Electric and Emerald storming the event! Flame has to do little! The event ends, and neither girl has been able to score!

Guarding the boy’s baskets, its Taurus, Swift and Explosion!

Nathan manages to get past Taurus and Explosion and scores 2 Points, while Ivor seems to be having more problems with Swift…by the end of the game; Nathan has managed to get 4 Points, while Ivor has netted a lucky 2 Points. The boys don’t look too happy – with them preventing anyone scoring anything the last time. Nathan has managed to pull one point ahead!

THE ELIMINATOR!

This time, Flame, Emerald, Taurus and Swift are on the medicine balls – with Needle and Electric on the paper barriers! Neither Louise nor Rebecca has scored any points – meaning that there is no head start for either.

The girls start, Louise having it easier on the ramp, but Rebecca getting it back up at the balance beam, then it’s about equally up the cargo net! Then they cross the wall about equally, both get lucky on the paper barrier and proceed straight to the cargo net equal, then down the zip line around the same time to the travelator, both climb together, but Rebecca slips, letting Louise take the lead, as Rebecca has to climb again. With tears in her eyes, she breaks through the paper barrier. Louise is delighted, having won the eliminator, despite the closeness! Anything could really have happened, and it all came down to that travelator! Rebecca, meanwhile, is crying, and wishes her best to Louise, before going to reunite with her family – her dreams of winning Gladiators shattered once and for all.

For the boys, Electric, Flame, Emerald and Swift are on the medicine balls, with Taurus and Explosion waiting behind the paper barriers. This time, Nathan has a 0.5 second head start – anything could happen!

Nathan remains his lead on the ramp, then on the balance beam, climbing the cargo net first. He then gets over the wall first, Ivor failing to and getting a ten second head start – before Nathan crashes into Explosion’s arms, giving Ivor time to catch up, with him being at the top of the cargo net before Nathan starts it, Ivor is first down the zip line, and manages to climb the travelator first time, breaking the paper barrier while Nathan heads towards the travelator. Determined to complete it first time, Nathan quickly scales to the top, where he breaks the barrier. There, he comments on that if he’d picked the better barrier, he would have actually, made it up the cargo net before Ivor, and might have actually won. Which means that Ivor will be joining Louise and heading towards the semi-finals!

Welcome to Heat 4!

This week, facing the Gladiators we’ve got Samantha and Tammy for the girls, and Greg and Kieron for the boys!

EVENT 1…BREAKTHROUGH & CONQUER!

First up for the girls is Samantha, and she’s going to have to get past Electric and Needle on Breakthrough and Conquer!

Samantha runs forward and Electric dives and grabs her round the neck! The whistle blows and John Anderson disqualifies Electric for grabbing her opponent above the waist. Electric nods and wishes Samantha luck. Samantha moves to the Conquer ring, where her and Needle struggle to get either out, and just as the whistle is about to go, Samantha literally tosses Needle over her and out! Ten Points!

Next up is Tammy, who looks confident, despite the fact she’s up against Electric and Emerald!

Tammy runs forward, Electric goes, Tammy darts left then changes, and it’s too much for Electric, who ends up falling over flat on her rear! Electric looks disappointed with herself! Tammy goes to the conquer ring! She pulls herself backward, and then tosses Emerald over to the floor, landing on top of her! It’s Ten Points for Tammy as well, bringing the girls to an equal head!

Facing the boys tonight, it’s Explosion on Breakthrough, and Swift in the Conquer ring! And the first boy up is Greg!

Greg runs forward, but Explosion gets him, but Greg’s already on the finish line when Explosion topples him over! Explosion is way too close to the finish line to actually get Greg out! Greg moves into the Conquer ring. Swift seems to be determined to actually win this time, and they’re off! Swift actually almost gets Greg out, but the ten seconds go! Greg gets 3 Points!

Next up, it’s Kieron! And he’s going to be facing Taurus and Swift!

Kieron runs forward, Taurus runs towards him, Kieron tries to confuse Taurus dodging left and right, he goes right, Taurus falls and grabs him and Kieron’s out! An amazing display from Taurus! Kieron moves into the Conquer ring. The lighter of the two, it takes Swift only five seconds before Kieron loses his balance and Swift pushes him out of the ring!

EVENT 2…DANGER ZONE!

And it’s a big smile from tonight’s Gladiator – Electric! The first of the contenders up is Samantha!

Samantha does well, going from safe zone to safe zone – missing the target until she reaches Safe Zone 3, where she narrowly hits just outside the target. She moves to the fourth safe zone, where Electric almost hits her, but Samantha docks, missing again before she runs towards the fifth safe zone, where Electric manages to score a clear hit! 0 Points!

Okay, Tammy’s up now! Tammy darts from safe zone to safe zone, each time narrowly missing each of Electric’s shots – she reaches the fifth safe zone, and manages to cover herself perfectly, Electric being unable to hit her at all! And time just expires as Electric manages to final catch her. John Anderson comes over. Electric has just caught her in time! 0 Points!

First up, hoping to get some good points, it’s Greg! And he’s against our Gladiator, Taurus!

Greg moves from safe zone to safe zone, with Taurus getting gradually closer with each shot. Greg gets to the fourth safe zone – it’s his final chance to hit the target with the grenades…and he hits the bull’s eye! It’s the fourth time we’ve played Danger Zone, and this is only the second time a contestant has managed to score the full 10 Points! This brings Greg to 13 Points!

Well, now let’s see how Kieron does under the pressure of being behind in points…

Kieron darts towards the first safe zone and Taurus gets him straight in the chest, sending Kieron flying to the side! It’s a good shot from Taurus, who looks mighty pleased! The medics come over, and it appears Kieron is alright! Kieron doesn’t score anything in Danger Zone, meaning Kieron still has yet to score any points – while Greg is more than suitably ahead!

EVENT 3…DUEL!

First up, it’s Samantha! And she’s up against the queen of Duel – the undefeated Flame!

Samantha sends a hit flying on Flame, knocking her off balance, but Flame returns with a strong hit, knocking Samantha, but almost losing both her pugil stick and balance in the process! The match continues for the full 30 seconds, neither unable to get the other off! The whistle blows, and the undefeated Flame has finally been pulled to a draw – Flame throws her pugil stick into the water in disgust.

Next up it’s Tammy! And she’s got to knock off Emerald!

The girls are going for it, neither able to push the other off. Emerald lands some big blows, but still can’t knock off Tammy. The whistle goes, but so does Tammy and Emerald’s pugil stick! John Anderson comes over to confirm that Tammy went just as the whistle went, so she still scores 5 Points! The girls are still neck-and-neck, each with 15 Points!

On Joust for the boys, it’s Greg! And he’s going to be facing Explosion!

Greg is knocked straight off balance by Explosion, but manages to regain his balance – he lashes out at Explosion, but Explosion knocks the pugil stick from his hands! It’s an automatic disqualification for Greg, who doesn’t look happy at all. Meanwhile, Explosion looks perfectly happy, having prevented his opponent from scoring yet again! Greg remains on 13 Points.

Now it’s Kieron’s chance to score, but trying to stop him is Swift!

Kieron lays a good hit on Swift, almost knocking him off balance – but Swift isn’t ready to lose, and smacks Kieron straight in the face, sending him flying into the water. Swift looks happy – Kieron doesn’t! It’s Swift’s first win on Duel, and he looks mighty happy about it! Kieron is left with 0 Points, making him 13 Points behind Greg, who’s scored on the last two events.

EVENT 4…POWERBALL!

First up, it’s Samantha and Tammy! And guarding the baskets of the girls, it’s Electric, Flame and Emerald!

The girls managed to put up a good fight, with Tammy unable to break free from Emerald and Flame, while Samantha manages to dodge past Electric a few times to score herself 4 Points! The final scores are 19 Points to Samantha over Tammy’s 15 Points, giving Samantha a 2 second head start at the Eliminator – the female Gladiators wishing both good luck.

Meanwhile, Greg and Kieron will be facing our male Gladiator team of Taurus, Swift and Explosion!

The boys have an easier time, with Greg and Kieron able to get past both Taurus and Explosion, and Swift can’t take out both! Greg manages to score 2 Points, while Kieron manages to score 6 Points, bringing Greg to a total of 15 Points, while Kieron finally takes off with 6 Points. This means Greg has a 4.5 second head start over Kieron in the Eliminator.

THE ELIMINATOR!

On the medicine balls are Needle, Emerald, Taurus and Swift! Behind the paper barriers are Electric and Flame! Samantha will be going first with a 2 second head start over Tammy!

The pair start off, Tammy catching up on the ramp. She then gets across the balance beam, but Samantha gets hit and falls off. Tammy continues up the cargo net and over the wall, then crashes through the barrier to Flame, who she easily gets past. But where is Samantha? It appears she’s taken a blow from the medicine ball to the face, and she’s being checked by the medic team. It appears she won’t be able to complete the course…Tammy’s on the zip line, she goes down, and then takes the travelator – and falls! She goes again, and makes it to the top, where she crashes through the last barrier! Tammy’s won! She’s off to the semi-finals! Samantha, meanwhile, is unable to complete the course – the second accident on the eliminator which has resulted in a contender having to stop competing.

Next up, Greg will have a 4.5 second head start over Kieron. On the medicine balls are Needle, Electric, Emerald and Explosion! Behind the paper barriers are Taurus and Swift, ready to catch their opponents!

Greg’s already at the first cargo net before Kieron makes it to the balance beam, where he gets knocked off – Greg swings over the wall, and then passes through the paper barrier to the second cargo net as Kieron starts on the first cargo net! Greg goes down the zip line, and then heads for the travelator as Kieron passes through the paper barrier safely. Greg goes up the travelator first time! He’s won the eliminator and a place in the semi-finals! Kieron, meanwhile, scrambles up the cargo net, and then heads down the zip line. He takes on the travelator first time. He’s not got a place in the semi-finals, but at least he’s tried. This means that Tammy and Greg will be continuing on to the semi-finals, alongside the previous six contenders who won the eliminator, and the next four contenders!

Both of them manage to reach the fifth safe zone and prevent Swift from hitting them. This is only the second and third time this has happened across the five heats so far - and Swift isn't too pleased.***

However, each boy faces a different opponent in Conquer - Swift and Explosion - who both also manage to take out their opponents!***

Meanwhile, Rosie takes on Needle - it's only Needle's second time on Duel. Needle makes her work, and pulls it out to a draw. Meanwhile, Jack takes on Explosion, who knocks his opponent off in less than two seconds! Swift, meanwhile, pulls his match against Thomas out to a draw - both hitting some good blows and block quite a few.***

***The girls seem to have an easier time. Charlotte is unable to stop Electric catching up with her and throwing her away every time. Rosie, meanwhile, proves slightly too much for Emerald, pushing the Gladiator aside to get to the basket, with Needle throwing herself into her just afterwards. The boys have an easier time - Jack is prevented from getting anywhere by Explosion and Taurus. Thomas, meanwhile, manages to get past Swift on two occasions to score some points, but otherwise fails to make the grade.***

***Charlotte is first up the ramp and she makes it to the cargo net just as Rosie makes the balance beam. Charlotte flies straight into the wall. Rosie passes by, while Charlotte ends up slightly behind. Both get through the paper barrier alright, and Charlotte manages to pull up some lost distance on the second cargo net. The pair go down the zip line at the same line, and the pair tackle the travelator together, but Rosie slips slightly and falls just behind - meaning it's a win for Charlotte, who passes on to the semi-finals!***

***Thomas leads by a cracking start, getting straight to the cargo net while Jack gets knocked off the balance beam. Thomas swings over the wall before Jack starts on the cargo net, with Thomas crashing through the barrier and literally rolling over Swift! He runs forward and begins the second cargo net, while Jack crashes through the barrier. Thomas goes down the zip line, while Jack starts the cargo net. First time climb on the travelator for Thomas means he wins - while Jack heads down the zip line, and also climbs the travelator first time.***

Ryan takes on Venom in Venom's first appearance since his injury back in Heat 2, and Venom shows he's still as good as ever! Nicholas then goes up, and Venom again produces the results, stopping either of his opponents giving him anything but wins on his record!***

Ryan, meanwhile, finds himself running straight past Venom, but Taurus proves too much for him to handle in Conquer. Nicholas, meanwhile, gets caught by Swift, but somehow manages to push big, bad Explosion straight out the ring!***

Venom manages to hold his own, but isn't confident enough to knock Ryan off. Explosion, meanwhile, shows why he's the big, bad bully by getting revenge on Nicholas from Breakthrough & Conquer.***

***The girls have a great time - without Emerald, the female team almost falls in on itself! Only Electric is able to keep up with Bethany - Needle gets close to take out Annabel a few times, but Flame does the majority of the work on stopping Annabel. The boys, meanwhile, have a much harder time. Venom and Explosion stop either getting through, and even when the boys do break through, Swift is right on their tails to stop them getting in anything on the baskets! Neither boy is able to score a thing!***

***Both girls know that to get through to the quarter-finals, they've got to win! Both of them race up the ramp, cross the balance beam quickly, are neck-and-neck up the cargo net and across the wall. Both then break through the barrier without facing a Gladiator - Bethany getting slightly ahead up the second cargo net. She pulls ahead from the zip line, and is first up the travelator! She then swings down the rope, and crashes through the barrier, Annabel shortly on her tail. It's all over for Annabel - but Bethany joins the other seven girls for the quarter-finals!***

***Ryan is first up the ramp, and crosses the balance beam while Nicholas struggles on the ramp. Ryan climbs the cargo net, Nicholas getting knocked off on the balance beam. Ryan swings over the wall, then heads towards the paper barriers while Nicholas begins on the cargo net. Ryan crashes through the barrier safely and heads up the next cargo net while Nicholas swings over the wall. Ryan heads down the zip line and Nicholas crashes through the barrier into Swift's arms, but quickly moves him aside and begins on the cargo net. Ryan runs up the travelator first time! He's made it!***

Paul, meanwhile, doesn't get Swift, who he was able to take off last time, and fails to knock any of his opponents off. This time, Ashley can't take Taurus off however. He faced this trio last time, and get 6 Points, but this time, he has to settle with 3 - only knocking off Swift.***

***Natalie takes on Flame, who is shocked by the barrage of attacks, and ends up knocked off - leaving Flame the Queen of Duel! Jade, meanwhile, had a bad time with Flame last time, but this time manages to hold up alright against Emerald, surviving the rapid barrage. Paul meanwhile, suffers with Venom, who scores his first win. Afterwards, Venom congratulates Paul and wishes him luck. Ashley, meanwhile, is able to dislodge Explosion, who flings his pugil stick at Ashley, knocking Ashley into the water after him.***

***Natalie has clearly played Powerball before, as she's able to run rings around Electric, but occasionly gets knocked away by Emerald. Flame, meanwhile, has plenty of trouble with Jade, who seems to be finding the event hard for her first try at it. Afterward, Emerald and Flame don't appear too happy to have let their opponent score something. The score is exactly the same on the opposite side - Paul, who has played Powerball, has a much easier game against Explosion then Ashley does with Venom.***

***Both girls are determinded to win, and it's clearly visible. Natalie finds herself getting knocked off the balance beam, and struggles on both cargo nets though, while Jade moves smoothly from each obstacle. Last time, it took Jade quite a few attempts on the travelator, and with Natalie coming down the zip line, Jade can't make a repeat if she's wants to get to the semi-finals...she runs...and falls! Natalie is right behind her, and Jade tries again, and she makes it! She breaks through the barrier, with Natalie a few seconds later!***

Ashley = 6 second head start
***Ashley is quick to make it up the ramp, but is knocked off on the balance beam! Paul quickly catches up, closing the gap between the two, and then starts the cargo net just before Ashley. Paul remains just ahead right till the paper barrier, where Ashley breaks through into Explosion while Paul breaks through safely. This gives Paul more than enough time to reach the travelator first, which he climbs first time, breaking through the paper barrier as the winner of the first quarter-final, with Ashley kicking himself after that head start he had.***

The boys have a harder time - Ivor getting caught right at the beginning of the match, while Greg gets the whole way to the fifth safe zone and scores some points, but he's unable to actually get the full points from the event.***

***Louise goes first. She's not able to get past Emerald, but is more than able to knock Needle out of the ring and score herself three points! Tammy manages the opposite - she's gets straight past Electric into the conquer ring, where Flame moves her straight out quite quickly. Ivor, meanwhile, proves more than enough for Venom, and then manages to trick Taurus out of the ring by side stepping and throwing. Greg has obviously been training, sprinting past Swift, then easily pushing Explosion out! Explosion looks surprised and goes off in a rage.***

***Flame is more than another for Louise, who finds herself knocked off within seconds, without her even landing one blow on the Gladiator. Tammy seems a natural with the pugil, but she's not good enough to knock off Needle, but she almost does on several occasions. Ivor proves quite hard for Venom, due to his small size, he also lands some good leg shots on Venom, almost knocking him off many times. Greg, mainly, is almost taken out as the whistle blows by Taurus - the almost impossible Gladiator to defeat.***

***Neither of the girls do very well against the female team. Emerald and Electric, both being incredibly fast, are able to take down their opponents each and every time - leaving Needle little work to do in the middle, but she still manages to do a bit when the girls break through. The boys have an easier time. Ivor is able to break past Venom and Explosion quite often to score, while Greg manages to break past Swift once to score himself two points. The boys seem happy with their performance - Explosion doesn't!***

***Tammy starts, and she's up the ramp before Louise begins, who struggles on the ramp. Tammy then gets hit by a medicine ball to the face - could we be seeing a repeat of the event which caused her to win her heat? Louise, meanwhile, is able to reach the cargo net, then swings over the wall before Tammy finally manages to get back on the course and climbs the cargo net. It's too late for her however, as Louise has already completed the course. Afterward, Tammy states that she was able to go just as Louise was on the balance beam, but wanted to catch her breath.***

Ivor --- 19

Ivor = 2 second head start
***Ivor starts, but can't get the ball up the ramp, with Greg easily catching up, then crossing the balance beam first, while Ivor gets knocked off. Greg quickly gets through the course, while Ivor remains quite far behind. The only time Ivor even gets close to catching up is when Greg gets through the first paper barrier into the arms of Venom, but he manages to put up a good fight and breaks free just as Ivor goes over the wall. Greg wins the eliminator again, Ivor congratulating Greg on a job well done.***

The boys have a much better time, with both hitting the outer rim - Thomas hitting with a hand grenade, while Ryan gets it straight away with the air powered rocket launcher right at the very beginning of the course!***

***Neither girl does very well - it appears we've found the perfect pairings for the Gladiators! Electric does the best, with Bethany dodging everywhere and squirming about, but Needle puts up a good fight against the taller and heavier Charlotte in the Conquer ring as well! Both boys fail to take Taurus and Explosion out, but both are able to get themselves past Venom and Swift. Explosion, meanwhile, recieves a warning from the ref in the process of Conquer for a fist straight to Ryan's face. Explosion doesn't seem to care though.***

***Flame continues being the Queen of Duel, easily taking Charlotte out without taking any major blows. Electric has a harder time with Bethany, but she's determinded to get her first win back on Duel, and she manages to knock the other girl off her podium. Duel proves to be hard with the boys as well - Taurus scores another win at top speed - this time around the five second mark. Venom, meanwhile, has a good match with Ryan, but is just able to over power his opponent and time him into the water.***

***The first time either of the contenders manages to berak free! Bethany proves to be too much for Needle, and quickly overpowers her and breaks ahead, only just scoring before Emerald comes crashing down on top of her. Meanwhile, Electric scores only a few tackles - if only because Charlotte just doesn't try! He runs rings around Venom, while Taurus has he's hands full keeping Ryan at bay!***

***Neither girl seems incredibly happy with their points, but Charlotte proves that she's got more energy - probably saved up from her powerball game! Bethany struggles on both cargo nets, and just doesn't have the energy to remain standing after breaking through the paper barrier. When it comes to the travelator, Charlotte climbs it first time. Bethany, meanwhile, has to retry it and only conquers it after her third time. Charlotte admits to feeling guilty for having saved her energy in Powerball, but says that it was all worth it.***

Thomas - 15

Thomas = 3 second head start
***Thomas appears to struggle on the ramp, and he's not even done when Ryan starts, Ryan quickly catches up on the cargo net - he shows that he's certainly been training hard and isn't about to lose! Thomas, meanwhile, struggles to even complete the course! The pair are mostly neck-and-neck by the travelator, with Ryan leading, but only by a little bit. Ryan climbs the travelator, but falls! Thomas then goes, with Ryan hot on his heels, but Thomas slips while Ryan powers to the top, and makes it through only a second before Thomas does.***

***Needle returns to Danger Zone in her first appearance since Heat 1! And she makes sure it's one to remember! Both girls fail to even get further than the first safe zone before Needle gets them out! She's definately attempting to knock Electric off her perch as Queen of Danger Zone! Callum again hits the target from the first safe zone - this time hitting the outer rim. Nathan again has a hard time, and runs out of time just before reaching the fifth safe zone for a second time. Taurus looks quite pleased.***

Event 2: Breakthrough & Conquer

Male Gladiators: Taurus & Venom, Explosion & Swift

***It's not the best event for either the girls or the boys! The female Gladiators continue with last times teams, and it still proves too much for either of the girls - Needle has an easier time now, with Jessica begins both smaller and lighter than Needle. The boys, meanwhile, struggle as well. Explosion doesn't even have to do anything, with Nathan accidently running out of bounds. Swift has his work cut out for him against Nathan, but manages to pull it off and knocks Nathan outside of the ring.***

Event 3: Duel
Female Gladiators: Flame & Electric

Male Gladiators: Taurus & Venom
Scores: Callum 0-5 Nathan
***The female Gladiators continue raining supreme. Both girls comment on having had a slight advantage with being small, but with both being light, it was quite easy to knock them off their podiums. Flame comments on that no one can defeat her, and goes off with the audience getting worked up. Nathan finally manages to score however, holding up well against Venom. Meanwhile, Callum, being incredibly light and not too strong, is no where near a match for Taurus in one of Taurus' favourite events!***

Event 4: Powerball
Female Gladiators: Emerald, Flame & Needle
Scores: Jessica 0-0 Samantha
Male Gladiators: Explosion, Taurus & Venom
Scores: Callum 4-4 Nathan
***The girls are finding tonight incredibly difficult for them! Neither is able to score, and with Emerald and Needle shooting around the field like mental, it's almost impossible for either to break past and got any points in either way. The boys have any easier time, with none of their opponents being incredibly fast - but they still prove quite a lot for the boys - especially with Venom still being quite quick on his feet, and Taurus joining in with Explosion to easily bring Callum down, he often just drops the ball!***

Eliminator:
Jessica ----- 0
Samantha - 0
***It's not the first time the girls haven't been able to score - with a similar occurance back in Heat 3 between Rebecca and Louise. It's Samantha's first time completing the course, however, with her having got an injury last time. And she proves that the best was yet to come! She's fast up the cargo nets, and good with picking the right paper barriers! The travelator doesn't even pose anything in the way of a problem for her! Jessica finds it all a little harder, but still manages to keep slightly behind Samantha.***

Callum - 10
Nathan - 9
Callum = 0.5 second head start
***The 0.5 seconds doesn't help Callum much at all! Nathan easily gets ahead of Callum on the ramp! And when Callum gets knocked off on the balance beam, Nathan flies ahead. Callum doesn't even get anywhere near Nathan, only being on the second cargo net when Nathan climbs the travelator first time and completes the course. He's not the highest scoring contender for nothing! Callum gets up the travelator on his second try, and looks disappointed, but happy that he was able to compete for a second time after his defeat to Ashley.***

***Jade is first to tackle Danger Zone, but Needle continues showing that she's just as good - if not better - than Electric on Danger Zone, getting her out pretty much straight away! Louise doesn't do much better - getting taken out pretty much straight away. Next up, Explosion returns to Danger Zone - starting off a bad record with Paul quickly scoring a win over him with the hand grenades. Greg, meanwhile, has a harder time, with him actually getting took out by a furious Explosion, who rubs it in Greg's face by firing another ball after the whistle - getting a warning from John Anderson.***

Event 2: Breakthrough & Conquer

***The teams have decently been found! None of the contenders are able to score anything on Breakthrough & Conquer! Despite being the semi-finals, it seems the contenders game hasn't upped enough! Jade almost scores three points on Conquer against Needle, and Greg almost scores his three points on Swift, but neither is able to with the Gladiators having upped their game by miles since the quarter finals. The contenders don't look too happy, but the Gladiators look perfectly happy!***

Event 3: Duel
Female Gladiators: Flame & Electric

Male Gladiators: Taurus & Swift
Scores: Paul 0-5 Greg
***Flame continues being the Queen of Duel, being almost the master of the pugil stick! Jade stands little chance, but manages to hold up for almost twenty seconds. Louise, meanwhile, almost goes out straight away against Electric - the girls have yet to score! Paul, meanwhile, can do nothing to prevent himself coming off straight away against Taurus, an easy victory for the bigger Gladiator! Swift, meanwhile, is able to hold a good fight against Greg, but doesn't have the strength needed to push him off.***

Event 4: Powerball
Female Gladiators: Emerald, Flame & Needle
Scores: Jade 0-0 Louise
Male Gladiators: Venom, Taurus & Explosion
Scores: Paul 4-10 Greg
***The girls have the most dramatic Powerball game ever - Flame ends up injuring herself! Going to tackle Jade, she slips and ends up smashing her head on one of the pods - a nasty wound, she is taken off - the game ends with neither girl being able to score. The boys, meanwhile, have a much better time - Paul is able to run a few times past Venom, but otherwise struggles, while Greg is more than able to slip past Explosion plenty of times and score in an absolutely amazing amount of points!***

Eliminator:
Jade --- 0
Louise - 0
***The news comes in that Flame has had to withdraw from the semis - maybe even the entire series. Both girls, having been unable to score, take to the eliminator neck-and-neck. Louise gets knocked off on the balance beam, while Jade sprints past, getting in the head start she needed. She retains this the whole way through, straight to the travelator, which she climbs first time! She crashes through the paper barrier, happier than ever having won herself a place in the final of the first series! Louise, meanwhile, climbs it about fifteen seconds later, happy for Jade, but also sad on her dream ending.***

Paul - 10
Greg - 15
Greg = 2.5 second head start
***The head start Greg won doesn't get him far - he falls off the balance beam by accident, letting Paul take the head start. Paul is able to get the majority of the way up the cargo net before Greg is able to get back up - disappointment setting in. Paul is easily able to get to the travelator first, and then Greg is quickly behind him in pursuit. Paul climbs it, slips slightly, but pulls himself to the top and crashes through the barrier, with Greg only a couple of seconds behind him. This means Paul has made it to the finals!***

***Charlotte goes first, and does really well, getting through each safe zone incredibly safely and getting to the fifth safe zone - where Needle finds she can't hit her opponent! Samantha, meanwhile, doesn't do as well, getting caught quite early on by Needle. Ryan takes on Swift first, and scores his six points with the air powered rocket launcher - right at the beginning of the course! Nathan, meanwhile, ends up at the hand grenades where he throws it and just catches the target just before his time runs out!***

Event 2: Breakthrough & Conquer
Female Gladiators: Emerald & Needle, Electric & Emerald
Scores: Charlotte 0-3 Samantha
Male Gladiators: Taurus & Venom, Explosion & Swift
Scores: Ryan 3-3 Nathan
***Charlotte faces the ultimate combination of Emerald and Needle - both of whom put too might fight up for Charlotte and prevent her scoring anything. Samantha, meanwhile, is able to score in Conquer - Electric's usual partner of Flame is unable, so Emerald steps in and she's obviously better at Breakthrough. Ryan is able to outspeed Taurus, but can't push Venom out the ring. Nathan, meanwhile, gets caught by Explosion, but easily pushes Swift straight out of the Conquer ring to score his points.***

Event 3: Duel
Female Gladiators: Electric & Emerald
Scores: Charlotte 0-0 Samantha
Male Gladiators: Taurus & Explosion
Scores: Ryan 0-5 Nathan
***Charlotte goes first - Electric struggles, due to being slightly smaller than her opponent, but she is able to unbalance and then knock her opponent off. Emerald, meanwhile, proves herself vicious against her smaller opponent, striking blow after blow until Samantha leaps off the podium to get away. Ryan, unluckily, faces Taurus, who quickly knocks his opponent off the podium. Nathan, meanwhile, proves why he's the best scoring contender, by managing to stand up to Explosion and stand his ground incredibly well!***

Event 4: Human Cannonball
Female Gladiators: Needle, Electric & Emerald
Scores: Charlotte 0-3 Samantha
Male Gladiators: Venom, Taurus & Explosion
Scores: Ryan 0-0 Nathan
***Charlotte, despite being heavier than Samantha, can't even knock Electric off the podium! Electric looks shocked - it's her first win on Human Cannonball! Samantha, meanwhile, sticks her legs out to easily knock Electric straight off the podium. She fails to get either Emerald or Needle off however. Ryan has a harder time - being the lighter of the two. He fails to get any, and after the event comments that he'd have done better at Powerball. Nathan, meanwhile, also fails to get any of his opponents off.***

Eliminator:
Charlotte --- 3
Samantha - 6
Samantha = 1.5 second head start
***Samantha has the head start, and makes brilliant use of it, dashing through the eliminator! Charlotte has no chance of keeping up, falling behind straight from the beginning! Samantha is able to keep the distance between her and Charlotte throughout the entire event! She breaks through the barrier while Charlotte is still on the second cargo net. Charlotte comments that Samantha easily deserved to be in the final, and wishes her opponent the best of luck in the final. Meanwhile, Samantha is shocked - she's through to the final!***

Ryan ---- 9
Nathan - 14
Nathan = 2.5 second head start
***Nathan's head start also proves useful - it seems that he's knocked his game up a notch due to his first eliminator having seen him losing! He uses his head start to great advantage, winning the eliminator. Ryan puts up a good competition however, having got the whole way to the travelator when Nathan actually wins, with him climbing it first time and breaking through the barrier only a few seconds later. The semi-finals are complete - and we've got all four of our finalists! It's time for the Grand Final!***

Next up, Samantha tries, but she fails to defeat the ultimate team of these two Gladiators! The girls scores remain at zero. Paul is able to outspeed Taurus, and neither of the pair even leave the ring in Conquer! An amazing bout of strength from Paul! Nathan, meanwhile, is unable to outspeed Taurus, but manages to throw Explosion straight out of the conquer ring!***

Event 2: Danger Zone

Male Gladiator: Taurus

***Jade steps up to Danger Zone, but Electric proves too much, getting her between the second and third safe zones with a good shot! Next up, Samantha doesn't even reach the first safe zone before Electric has taken her out - the girls stood no chance! The boys have an easier time. Paul is able to defeat Taurus again, winning with the hand grenades he used to defeat Explosion! Nathan also scores a win, using the same hand grenades which he'd used to take out Swift! Taurus doesn't seem too fazed, wishing both contenders good luck.***

Event 3: Duel
Female Gladiators: Electric
Scores: Jade 5-5 Samantha
Male Gladiators: Taurus
Scores: Paul 0-0 Nathan
***Jade goes up against Electric - she's a little upset, as she wanted to take on Queen of Duel Flame, but Flame isn't available. Electric manages to pull the match to a draw. Samantha then goes up, and the pair put up a good fight - both looking like they're going to fall a few times. It also ends in a draw. Paul goes up against Taurus, and is quickly knocked straight into the drink! Nathan then goes up, and is able to hold up for about twenty-five seconds, before Taurus knocks him straight out!***

Event 4: Human Cannonball
Female Gladiators: Needle, Electric & Emerald
Scores: Jade 6-0 Samantha
Male Gladiators: Venom, Taurus & Explosion
Scores: Paul 0-0 Nathan
***Jade, being the heavier contender, is able to easily take Electric and Emerald off the podium, but she fails to take Needle off. Being lighter, Samantha struggles more, and fails to even take Electric off the podium (who is notorious for falling off in Human Cannonball!). Neither boy is able to budge any of the males though - after which both comment on how good both Venom and Explosion actually are at the event. The crowd, meanwhile, are too busy chanting for Swift to make his appearance...***

Event 5: Powerball
Female Gladiators: Needle, Electric & Emerald
Scores: Jade 0-2 Samantha
Male Gladiators: Venom, Taurus & Swift
Scores: Paul 0-0 Nathan
***The girls have a hard time getting past the three female Gladiators, who appear from every direction, which all three being incredibly fast! Samantha is able to sneak through and get in two points, but she's the only one who's actually able to score. The boys also have an incredibly hard time, with neither of them able to get past Venom and Swift, leaving Taurus doing pretty much nothing the whole time. The crowd, meanwhile, go wild that Swift has finally made his appearance in the final - but also because it's the first return of Powerball since Flame's accident!***

Eliminator:
Jade --------- 11
Samantha - 7
Jade = 2 second head start
***Jade darts up the ramp, pushing the ball like crazy. She's made it to the top when Samantha starts. Jade quickly crosses the balance beam and starts up the cargo net when Samantha starts the balance beam. Jade swings over the wall and heads for the paper barriers, crashing through to safety while Samantha starts the cargo net. Jade starts the second cargo net, with Samantha swinging over the wall and crashing through the barrier to safety. Jade goes down the zip line, while Samantha starts the cargo net. Jade goes up the travelator - and scales it first time! She's won!***

Paul ----- 9
Nathan - 9
***Neither boy actually has the head start. They're pretty even up the ramp, and then across the balance beam. Both tackle the cargo net and swing across the wall about equally. But Paul trips through the paper barrier, giving Nathan a head start to the cargo net, reaching the top just before Paul and heading down the zip line first. He reaches the travelator first, and climbs it first time, crashing through the paper barrier to victory, while Paul breaks his barrier just seconds afterwards, a close finish, but Nathan has won!***
