***Electric takes on Ivy, and she does a fairly decent job, but Electric isn't too good on the first of our new events for the series! Fire, meanwhile, struggles to even get her atlasphere moving correctly - she's crashing literally everywhere! Deena gets plenty of chances to score! The boys go up next. Giant struggles on Atlasphere to even get it moving, Joseph running all over the place! Gun, meanwhile, has a better time with Damian, but doesn't seem too comfortable inside the Atlasphere - probably preferring solid ground!***

Event 2: Breakthrough & Conquer
Female Gladiators: Needle + Electric & Fire + Jewel
Scores: Ivy 4-0 Deena
Male Gladiators: Taurus + Swift & Giant + Gun
Scores: Joseph 4-4 Damian
***Ivy runs forward, but Needle is quick to grab her and pull her down. Next up, she moves to the Conquer ring, where she literally throws Electric straight out! The newer Gladiators do a better job - Deena is unable to get either Fire or Jewel to let her pass! Joseph, like Ivy, is able to easily win on Conquer, but can't do anything to help him in Breakthrough - Taurus quickly pouncing on his prey! Damian, like Ivy and Joseph, can't get past his Breakthrough opponent, but easily throws out his Conquer opponent!***

Event 3: Duel
Female Gladiators: Needle & Electric
Scores: Ivy 5-5 Deena
Male Gladiators: Taurus & Swift
Scores: Joseph 0-0 Damian
***Needle never really took to Duel, and she doesn't this time! Ivy puts up a brilliant display, and manages to pull her battle to a draw! Next up, Electric takes on Deena. Deena spends the whole time blocking the barrage of attacks which Electric throws her way, pulling their battle to a draw as well. Joseph wants to kick Taurus butt at Duel, but it's a hard thing to do - with Taurus knocking him flying off. Swift, meanwhile, was never known for being good at Duel last time, but he puts up an amazing fight this time, knocking Damian straight off!***

Event 4: Hang Tough
Female Gladiators: Electric & Fire
Scores: Ivy 5-5 Deena
Male Gladiators: Giant & Gun
Scores: Joseph 0-5 Damian
***Electric looks alright on the rings, but she loses her momentum and gets stuck on one ring - as does Ivy! The pair are forced to just hold out until the whistle goes. Next up, Fire swings across the rings, ready to pull her opponent off - but Deena proves to fast, and outspeeds Fire around. Joseph tries to get straight, but Giant appears from nowhere and takes Joseph straight off! Gun, meanwhile, finds the rings a little harder, but doesn't manage to get the whole way to Damian before the whistle blows.***

Event 5: Powerball
Female Gladiators: Needle + Liquid + Steel
Scores: Ivy 4-0 Deena
Male Gladiators: Swift + Jet + Lightning
Scores: Joseph 2-1 Damian
***Liquid quickly sets to work on Deena, while Needle and Steel try to take out Ivy, who makes a lucky break and hits the middle pod, while also getting two of the outer pods on the way back! It's a few easy goals for her - Deena has no such luck! Joseph has similar luck to Ivy - making a lucky break to the centre pod, while Damian sneaks past Jet to score in one of the outer pods. The Gladiators don't seem too miffed by the points their contenders have scored - both have scored less than just one of the girls!***

Eliminator:
Ivy ------- 22
Deena - 18
Ivy = 2 second head start
***Ivy heads up the travelator first time, Deena breaking in once Ivy's at the top. Ivy struggles on the hand bikes, but Deena's slipped down the travelator and has had to start again. Deena goes a third time, and makes it! Ivy crosses the balance beam with Deena starting the hand bike. Ivy moves to the cargo net, scaling it with Deena finishes the hand bike. Ivy zip lines to the bottom of the floor while Deena takes the balance beam. Ivy jumps and crawls past the hurdles while Deena starts the cargo net, but Ivy crashes through the correct barrier and wins the course!***

Joseph -- 16
Damian - 15
Joseph = 0.5 second head start
***Joseph heads up the travelator, and Damian starts pretty much start away, with Damian only slightly behind they move to the hand bikes. They're neck-and-neck across the balance beam and up the cargo net, then both go down the zipline together. Joseph, however, jumps straight over the first hurdle, while Damian misjumps and gets stuck, as Joseph crawls under the low, Damian rejumps over correctly, and Joseph crashes through the barrier to the safety of a win, just as Damian crawls under the low hurdle.***

Event 1: Atlaspheres
Female Gladiators: Jewel & Liquid
Scores: Jane 0-0 Sophie
Male Gladiators: Jet & Lightning
Scores: Eric 8-2 Trent
***Jewel and Liquid seem to be the masters of the Atlasphere! Jane and Sophie have their work cut out - especially Jane who can't get away from Jewel at all! Sophie almost scores some points, but constantly fails to get directly over the centre of the pod! The boys, meanwhile, have a much easier time, especially Eric. Jet and Lightning both struggle to keep control over their Atlaspheres, and Eric is able to run circles around Jet. Trent, meanwhile, also struggles quite a bit with his, but manages to score at least 2 points!***

Event 2: Duel
Female Gladiators: Electric & Needle
Scores: Jane 5-0 Sophie
Male Gladiators: Taurus & Swift
Scores: Eric 0-0 Trent
***Jane has her work cut out for her against Electric, who puts up an amazing display. However, she's just not good enough to knock her off. Needle, meanwhile, throws her attacks much harder than Electric, and eventually manages to topple Sophie! It's her first win on the Duel platform! Eric takes on Taurus. Big mistake! Taurus easily punishes his opponent by toppling them straight into the drink! Trent doesn't do much better with Swift. Swift's determinded not to lose, and strikes a few low blows to send his opponent over and out!***

Event 3: Human Cannonball
Female Gladiators: Electric + Needle & Fire + Jewel
Scores: Jane 5-5 Sophie
Male Gladiators: Taurus + Swift & Giant + Gun
Scores: Eric 10-0 Trent
***Jane swings down the rop, and easily takes Electric flying off into the water! She can't budge Needle however - who keeps her 100% track record! Sophie, meanwhile, is able to knock Fire straight off her platform, but accidently misses Jewel, only scoring five points. Eric flings himself straight off the platform with incredibly power, knocking Swift flying and knocking Taurus off as well! Trent is the lighter of the two males, and can't take Gun off, so he stands no chance against Giant - 16kg's heavier than Gun!***

Event 4: Powerball
Female Gladiators: Fire + Jewel + Liquid
Scores: Jane 3-3 Sophie
Male Gladiators: Giant + Gun + Taurus
Scores: Eric 0-0 Trent
***The girls take to Powerball well - Jane makes a break past Fire and Jewel to score in the middle pod, and then hits the outer pod. Sophie has less luck, but is still able to shoot past Liquid to get herself three shots in the outer pods for the same amount of points. Meanwhile, the boys are completely taken out by the three male Gladiators. All three of the Gladiators love their powerball, and prove it by sending both of their opponents flying! It's an easy game for them, and the men are stuck scoring nothing!***

Event 5: The Wall
Female Gladiators: Electric & Fire
Scores: Jane 0-10 Sophie
Male Gladiators: Giant & Gun
Scores: Eric 0-0 Trent
***The girls run straight at the wall, and 15 seconds later, Electric and Fire are on to them! Electric quickly scales the wall to yank Jane straight off within seconds. Fire, meanwhile, struggles to climb, and Sophie soon reaches the top of the wall and wins the event! The men quickly dart for the wall, but Giant and Gun are right on their tails and quickly catch up with their opponents, taking them straight off the wall shortly after they've started climbing! The wall seems to be quite popular with the Gladiators...***

Eliminator:
Jane ---- 13
Sophie - 18
Sophie = 2.5 second head start
***Sophie takes off, but she can't climb the travelator! She slips back down, and Jane starts, running straight up the travelator and moving on while Sophie falls down again! Jane starts the hand bike, while Sophie falls down the travelator again. She's forced to take the ramp while Jane finishes the hand bike and moves across the balance beam onto the cargo net. Sophie takes to the hand bike, but drops off! Jane finishes the net and goes down the zip line, before moving straight through the barrier to victory!***

Eric -- 18
Trent - 2
Eric = 8 second head start
***Eric climbs the travelator, before moving to the hand bike. He's at the end when Trent climbs the travelator. Eric goes across the balance beam and on to the cargo net while Trent struggles with the hand bike and then drops off. Eric swings down the zip line and crashes through the barrier, just as Trent moves on to the balance beam. Eric's head start was more than enough to ensure a victory on the course - with him leaving Trent behind in the dust! Eric will be moving on to the Quarters, the chances of Trent moving on being slim.***

FEMALE CONTENDERS: Lucinda & Wendy

Event 1: Danger Zone
Female Gladiator: Steel
Scores: Lucinda 4-10 Wendy
Male Gladiator: Gun
Scores: Alan 0-0 Willis
***It's Steel's debut on Danger Zone, and she pulls off a decent performance. Lucinda is able to run to the end and score herself a draw. Meanwhile, Wendy has a much better time, able to hit the target straight in the centre, stopping Steel from getting her first win. Gun, meanwhile, shows that his name isn't just a name. He quickly takes Alan out of the course before he reaches the first safe zone. Willis hasn't even really made it far before Gun is able to take him out. Gun looks more than happy with his performance.***

Event 2: Powerball
Female Gladiators: Liquid, Needle and Electric
Scores: Lucinda 0-0 Wendy
Male Gladiators: Lightning, Giant and Jet
Scores: Alan 3-6 Willis
***The crowd go wild when they see both Needle and Electric up. And the girls show how it's done by stopping both Lucinda and Wendy from scoring anything! The girls don't look too happy, but the Gladiators look more than pleased. Liquid was the star of the match however, taking both of the girls on most of the time! The guys, meanwhile, have their work cut out with Alan and Willis! It's a rarity to score past the male Gladiators, but Alan and Willis manage it - Jet, meanwhile, looks a little useless in the match, hardly doing anything.***

Event 3: Duel
Female Gladiators: Fire and Jewel
Scores: Lucinda 0-5 Wendy
Male Gladiators: Swift and Taurus
Scores: Alan 0-5 Willis
***It's Fire's debut on her favourite event - Duel! And she shows that her name isn't similar to Flame for nothing! She easily knocks Lucinda off in seconds! Jewel, meanwhile, doesn't show off all her talent in her debut. Jewel manages to give Wendy quite a fight, but isn't good enough to knock her off. Swift shows himself off against Alan, knocking him off just before time runs out. Taurus, meanwhile, isn't having a good day, and fails to knock Willis off, despite throwing some amazing blows on the contender.***

Event 4: Breakthrough & Conquer
Female Gladiators: Steel + Jewel & Liquid + Needle
Scores: Lucinda 0-10 Wendy
Male Gladiators: Gun + Lightning & Taurus + Jet
Scores: Alan 10-4 Willis
***First up is Lucinda, who can't make it past Steel, and also fails to even toss Jewel anywhere near the outside of the ring. Quite a disappointment for her. Wendy has a much easier time, able to charge straight past Liquid, and then easily knocks Needle backwards. The boys have an easier time. Alan is able to charge past Gun and manages to push Lightning aside just before time runs out. Willis, meanwhile, isn't able to get past Taurus, but easily pushes the incredibly light Jet straight out the ring.***

Event 5: Hang Tough
Female Gladiators: Electric and Fire
Scores: Lucinda 0-0 Wendy
Male Gladiators: Giant and Swift
Scores: Alan 5-0 Willis
***Electric looks almost a natural up on the rings tonight, and easily pulls Lucinda off the rings before the clock even reaches the half way mark! Next up, Fire takes to the rings again, and is able to pull Wendy off just before she runs out of time to get her first win. Giant takes to the rings next, and isn't able to get to Alan, ending up running out of momentum, but then Alan does shortly afterwards! Giant ends up dropping off, unable to get himself another ring. Swift, meanwhile, is almost a natural up on the rings, and takes Willis off before twenty seconds have even passed!***

Eliminator:
Lucinda - 4
Wendy - 25
Wendy = 10.5 second head start
***Wendy dominates the Eliminator. Lucinda never really even stood a chance at getting through. Afterwards, Lucinda appears incredibly disappointed with herself, saying that some of her favourite events from training didn't come up, and she had a bad day. Meanwhile, Wendy is over the moon, having actually scored the highest score a contender has earned so far in the Gladiators arena - including all of the first series performances.*** (The actual record was 24, set by Nathan, who became the Gladiator Gun)

Alan - 18
Willis - 15
Alan = 1.5 second head start
***Alan looks like he's going to easily win the eliminator, quickly climbing up the travelator first time, while Willis struggles slightly. However, Alan falls off the hand bike in the middle, and had to return back to the beginning to try the hand bike again, giving Willis plenty of time to catch up and take the lead. Willis easily completes the course without Alan getting the head start again. Afterwards, both guys shake hands and congratulate each other on an incredibly good performance, while Willis joins Wendy for the quarter finals!***

Heat 4:
FEMALE CONTENDERS: Henrietta & Belinda
MALE CONTENDERS: Luke & Austin

Event 1: The Wall
Female Gladiators: Fire and Needle
Scores: Henrietta 10-5 Belinda
Male Gladiators: Swift and Jet
Scores: Luke 0-0 Austin
***The girls quickly dart up the wall, Henrietta quickly scaling the wall and making it over. Needle, meanwhile, on her debut, does better. Fire tells Henrietta to win this heat so that she can beat her next time and get her revenge. Needle, meanwhile, congratulates Belinda. Meanwhile, Swift and Jet quickly scale the wall to give both of them a good debut appearance. Luke and Austin stand no chance, with both of them getting caught right towards the bottom and both getting yanked off the wall quite easily.***

Event 2: Atlaspheres
Female Gladiators: Jewel and Electric
Scores: Henrietta 8-6 Belinda
Male Gladiators: Lightning and Gun
Scores: Luke 0-0 Austin
***There aren't a lot of crashes for Henrietta, who runs rings around Jewel. Electric, meanwhile, is able to crash into Belinda a few times, but Belinda is more than able to pull the slip on Electric a number of times, preventing her from stopping her too many times. The boys, meanwhile, have stacks of crashes. Lightning and Gun are everywhere, crashing into their opponents all over the place and knocking them flying around the place, with neither of them able to score anything in the second event either!***

Event 3: Danger Zone
Female Gladiator: Fire
Scores: Henrietta 10-7 Belinda
Male Gladiator: Giant
Scores: Luke 0-0 Austin
***Fire makes her debut on Danger Zone tonight! Henrietta is able to take Fire out with the first weapon, leaving Fire more than unhappy. Belinda, meanwhile, only hits the outer ring of the target but is still able to score. Again, Fire warns Henrietta that if she wins, Fire will make sure she loses next time. Giant also takes her debut, and is able to hit Luke just after the first safe zone, while then catching Austin only three seconds into Austin beginning the course. Giant is more than happy with his debut.***

Event 4: Duel
Female Gladiators: Liquid and Steel
Scores: Henrietta 10-5 Belinda
Male Gladiators: Taurus and Swift
Scores: Luke 0-0 Austin
***Henrietta knocks Liquid off with only five seconds left on the clock. Liquid throws her helmet to the ground in anger, but when Henrietta dismounts, she shakes her hand and wishes her luck. Steel, meanwhile, puts up a good fight with Belinda, but crosses over to her platform just as the whistle goes. Steel apologises and wishes Belinda good luck. Taurus, meanwhile, shows why he is the King of Duel, knocking his opponent off in five seconds. Austin has no better luck with Swift, who also knocks him flying.***

Event 5: Human Cannonball
Female Gladiators: Electric + Liquid & Jewel + Needle
Scores: Henrietta 10-5 Belinda
Male Gladiators: Jet + Gun & Lightning + Taurus
Scores: Luke 0-5 Austin
***Henrietta knocks Electric and Liquid flying - and it looks like Electric has suffered an accident! She's taken off by the medics, the crowd horrified about losing their favourite! Belinda, meanwhile, is able to knock Jewel off, but fails to knock Needle off - keeping her track record clean. Luke is unable to take Jet and Gun off, while Austin is able to knock Taurus off, but fails with Lightning. The medics announce that Electric is out of action, and might be for the rest of the series. The crowd are mental!***

Eliminator:
Henrietta - 48
Belinda --- 28
Henrietta = 10 second head start
***Both girls don't fail to disappoint, not failing once. Due to Henrietta's lead, however, she more than makes her way to the finish comfortably. Henrietta says that she's loved the competition, and also thinks that Belinda was great. Belinda warns the person to face Henrietta next that they better watch out! The girls hug, and then Henrietta wishes her best for Electric, who is still being seen to by the medics after her nasty accident on Human Cannonball. She hopes that Electric gets better incredibly fast.***

Luke -- 0
Austin - 5
Austin = 2.5 second head start
***Austin easily clears the obstacles, getting a clear run to victory. Luke, meanwhile, struggles with everything. Austin promises to improve before the next performance he makes. Luke, meanwhile, says that he feels his performance was pathetic tonight, and hopes that Austin does well in the Quarter Finals, with him sure that he won't make it to the Quarters to retry his pathetic eliminator. The night ends, with the crowd still upset about Electric's accident, with everything keeping their fingers crossed...***

Winners: Henrietta & Austin

Heat 5:
FEMALE CONTENDERS: Mary & Erica
MALE CONTENDERS: Michael & Robert

Event 1: Danger Zone
Female Gladiators: Needle
Scores: Mary 0-0 Erica
Male Gladiators: Swift
Scores: Michael 0-7 Robert
***Needle looks uncomfortable up on Danger Zone tonight - it's usually Electric who plays this game. However, she's able to stop both Mary and Erica in their tracks. Swift also doesn't look too comfortable up on Danger Zone, and he's able to get Michael out.***

Event 2: Duel
Female Gladiators: Needle & Fire
Scores: Mary 10-0 Erica
Male Gladiators: Taurus & Swift
Scores: Michael 0-5 Robert
***Needle doesn't seem to be able to concentrate on Mary, and quickly topples into the water. After her match, Fire comments on the closeness between Needle and Electric - the pair almost see each other like sisters. Swift also seems quite affected, and is unable to throw his blows hard enough.***

Event 3: Hang Tough
Female Gladiators: Jewel & Liquid
Scores: Mary 5-5 Erica
Male Gladiators: Jet & Lightning
Scores: Michael 0-5 Robert
***It's the debut of all four of the Gladiators on this event. All of them, apart from Jet, show that they need a little more practice at the event, while Jet is more than able to get Michael and take him off. Jet comments on it being his favourite event during training.***

Event 4: Powerball
Female Gladiators: Steel + Fire + Jewel
Scores: Mary 8-1 Erica
Male Gladiators: Giant + Gun + Taurus
Scores: Michael 1-0 Robert
***The girls don't do as well on Powerball as the guys - Steel especially shows that she really needs practice when Mary breaks past more than a few times. The boys put on a better performance, however, with Michael only breaking past the three at one time to score in an outer basket.***

Event 5:
Female Gladiators: Jewel & Liquid
Scores: Mary 10-0 Erica
Male Gladiators: Giant & Gun
Scores: Michael 0-0 Robert
***Again, the male Gladiators do better than the female ones, with them putting up more than a good enough challenge. Liquid doesn't do too bad, but Mary is more than able to use the 15 second head start to quickly scale the wall and win herself the ten points.***

Eliminator:
Mary - 33
Erica - 6
Mary = 13.5 second head start
***Erica stood no chance - Mary hasn't scored a new record (Henrietta broke that one by almost scoring the full 50 points with 48 points, while Mary only has 33). Erica is too far behind to even make a dent on Mary, who quickly completes the course and moves to the next round.***

Michael - 1
Robert - 17
Robert = 8 second head start
***Robert also has a more than suitable head start, and easily pulls away from Michael, who struggles like Luke on every hurdle. Robert completes the course as the clear winner from the get go, and earns himself a place in the Quarter Finals without much work.***
